Cruise Report - August 14, 1996
Coastal Mixing & Optics (ONR-sponsored)
submitted by Steve Lentz, Chief Scientist

CMOers, We had a very successful mooring deployment cruise and all the moored instrumentation is in place except Sandy Williams bottom tripod which will be deployed next week off the Seward Johnson. A list of the mooring locations and descriptions of the buoys at each site is given below.

Thanks to calm weather we had time to do a CTD survey and took over 150 CTD profiles, which included an extensive along-isobath survey and three cross-shelf transects. A special thanks to Scott Pegau and Clayton Paulson at OSU for lending us a CTD.

Anyone wanting a detailed schematic of the mooring sites please let us know and we will fax you pictures.
